New Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Treasury

Prime Minister Beata Szydło appointed Paweł Gruza for the position of the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Treasury.

Paweł Gruza is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. He has also participated in numerous training sessions, seminars and conferences in Poland and abroad (e.g. courses devoted to Polish and international accounting standards, economic legislation of the European Union, international tax planning, sector-specific training schemes).

He has extensive professional experience. He has managed numerous interdisciplinary projects for companies in the industrial and financial sector. In 2000 – 2006 he worked for advisory companies Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young. Since 2007 he has been a shareholder and Management Board member in MMR Consulting sp. z o.o. and in July 2014 he became a partner in the Polish tax advisory firm GWW tax.

He is a co-author of the first commentary to the Social Insurance System Act (1999) and a co-author of the first Polish commentary to the EU VAT directives (2004, selection and edition of the decisions by the EU Court of Justice). He is also an author of articles in specialist periodicals and in the economic press.

Paweł Gruza is an expert in finance and economy for Fundacja Republikańska and in January 2016 was appointed to become its Management Board member.
