Thanks to sound economic policy, Poland leads the way in the economic revival of the region, said Dominique Strauss-Kahn – the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, in an interview for Gazeta Wyborcza.
Dominique Strauss-Kahn noted that Poland clearly stands out among other European countries in terms of economic situation. Moreover, he claimed that Poland has greatly benefited from accession to the European Union.
“I am very proud that IMF has contributed to Poland’s development. From the onset of the transformation process in Poland, though the period of building appropriate institutions, until this time, IMF has been helping Poland to become the pillar of European economy by providing financial and technical support. The latest evidence of IMF’s support is the flexible credit line, amounting to USD 20 billion, granted to Poland,” summed up Strauss-Kahn.
